Jacobi’s MS Advisee

“Frost growth in laminar channel flows with streamwise vortices.”

Brian’s work on frost growth was top-notch, and we ultimately published it in Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer (with other papers elsewhere). When he finished his MS, I tried hard to convince him to stay in my group for the PhD. He ended up going to Berkely. I wish we had an ocean and huge cultural and industrial complex in our little college town! Brian was a lot of fun to have in the group. He had very odd taste in screen-savers and computer desktops–Dolemite?  Currently, Brian is a professor at Olin College.
