Mark Gentry

Jacobi’s Doctoral Advisee

Mark Gentry, MSME 1995; PhD 1998

Mark was one of the early students in my group, and with Nicole and Keith played an important role in setting up my lab. He studied air-side heat transfer enhancements for heat exchanger applications. He was a very focused student–he was married and had a one child when he finished his doctorate. Although he was serious about his studies, he had a keen sense of humor and was a lot of fun to work with. His light-hearted approach to problems helped us keep things in perspective. After completing his PhD, he and Amy moved their family to the Houston area, and mark joined Exxon Production Research. One day, he will likely run that company.
